Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell has worked as a chef, TV personality in the United States and an instructor at Institute of Culinary Education. She hosts the Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Chef as well as co-hosting Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, a Food Network celebrity with her signature spikey blonde hair and bubbly personality, reveals simple techniques to master and reduces anxiety about restaurant food in her show Secrets of a Restaurant. Chef Burrell was employed in New York at top restaurants as well as studied Italian cuisine traditions and geography. Also, she was a contestant on Iron Chef America on Food Network. When she was a kid in Upstate New York Chef Burrell was infatuated by food. The Culinary Institute of America is where she went following her graduation with an English degree and a Communications diploma at Canisius College Buffalo NY. She states "I was a huge Culinary Institute of America (CIA) student. I was awed by every moment." I was unable to learn enough, didn't do enough couldn't work hard enough. After graduating at the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners, Chef Burrell took a full year in Italy doing research and working at La Taverna del Lupo restaurant in Umbria and La Bottega del 30 one Michelin rating in Tuscany. It was during this time that her experience in Italy allowed her to comprehend and appreciate Italian philosophy and culture, and has made an impression on her food and culinary experience. Burrell participates on the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board that brightens up the lives of children who are struggling. Burrell is also an Juvenile diabetes Research Foundation Celebrity Advocate, where she promotes awareness of the condition of children with diabetes. She frequently travels around the country in her role as a mentor as well as a guest speaker where she discusses her work and passion for cooking. Anne in all her experience in the kitchen, has declared that it's an honor to have the opportunity to share her passion for the food industry with people.
