Antonina Shevchenko is Antonina Shevchenko is a Kyrgyzstani as well as a Peruvian Muay Thai fighter and mixed martial artist competing with the Flyweight Division of UFC. Valentina Shevchenko, who is a former UFC Flyweight titleholder and UFC fellow fighter is her younger sister. Antonina Shevchenko started her professional career as an Muay Thai kickboxer. She made her debut in 2003 during the IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko was the winner at the tournament and defeated Suzane Milliner with a unanimous verdict. Antonina received a gold medal in 2007, a silver medal in 2008, a silver in 2007 and an award of bronze in 2008, and a gold medal gold in 2011. Antonina was also named IFMA World Amateur Muay Thai Champion in 2016 by the IFMA. Antonia's professional journey began in 2003. She won in 2012 her the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship In 2016, she won the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship and in 2016, the WMC World Championships. Antonina shevchenko fought her first professional MMA fight in 2002 against Anara bayanova at the KFK Cup in Kyrgystan. She was victorious by TKO in round 2. Her following two matches were staged in WXF X-Impact World Championships. Shevchenko stopped her involvement in MMA in order to concentrate on boxing. She made her return against Anissa Haddaoui in Phoenix FC 3, 2017. Shevchenko was victorious against Anissa Haddaoui with an unanimous decision. She then beat Valerie Domergue, at Phoenix FC 4, in a unanimous decision. In 2018, she left the contest and started participating in Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko defeated Jaimelene Nievera during Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11 Antonina knocked out Nievera using her superior striking abilities during the clinch final round by using knees on the body. Antonina's UFC contract was extended after this win. Antonina Shevchenko made her UFC debut at TUF Heavy Strikes Finale in the fight against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko was victorious in the unanimous victory, however she fell in the second round to Roxanne Modafferi via an undisputed split decision. Antonina bounced right back after her loss and beat Lucie Pudddilova on UFC on ESPN Covington-Lawler by rear-naked submission during the second round. This fight earned Antonina the prize of Fight of The Night. Shevchenko went 2-2 in her subsequent three bouts. She defeated Ariane Lipski, but fell to Katlyn Chokagian and Andrea Lee.
